Hi! I’m Brandon, a 20-year-old living in a small town in the North East of England, currently studying pharmacy at University. Outside of my studies, I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu on an almost full-time basis; a sport which I fell in love with in December 2016.
I found out I was non-coeliac gluten intolerant (gluten-free) at the age of 18 after a year of illness; leading to becoming quite underweight. At first, it was a struggle to adapt to the gluten-free diet. However, over two years down the line I haven’t looked back, in fact, the whole journey motivated me to seek out new challenges; physically and mentally.
A lot of people ask me things such as “how do you find time to balance your studies with your passion?”, “how are you so motivated?” or questions relating to being gluten-free, mostly “what do you even eat?”, because of this, I decided at the start of 2018 to create a blog, focusing on topics such as Jiu-Jitsu, motivation, inspiration, health and lifestyle changes.
Maybe you are a newly diagnosed coeliac or non-coeliac gluten intolerance sufferer and are looking for some tips, or you are just looking to make positive life changes to improve your health and lifestyle; which may or may not involve Jiu-Jitsu – Either way, you are in the right place!
I hope you enjoy this page and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to leave a comment/ send a message to my email or Instagram.
